Your readers might be interested to know that I found the original “Peanut” at the San Mateo Humane Society in 1988. I had just lost my kitty to a tragic accident and I had a huge hole in my heart. I found Peanut at the shelter and she not only helped me mend that hole, but she inspired me to go on and rescue the countless kitties I found near my home. The book is made even better, of course; by the way you embellish it with the cat facts. I learned more about cats than I ever knew. "Dear Sassy.....aka Peanut......
I loved your new book and am so excited to share it with my adopted family so they can understand me better. When I was young I got lost and never found my real family again. I made my way to a new family after hiding under their bushes for a week. They kept thinking I was a small rabbit until one day Jennifer - the daughter - began looking under the bushes more carefully and discovered me. My new family already had a 3 legged wonder cat, Fluffy, and two cute and feisty beagles, Abbie and Happy. I heard them talking about how there were no stray animals in their neighborhood so God must have wanted them to take me in.
I have been here for 7 years and I love it....and they have one of those cool staircases like you like and they also have a pool that I love to lay by on warm days.....on cool days I love to lay on my blanket on the couch.
The daughter Jennifer has gone to college and Fluffy and Abbie have gone to heaven. Now it is me and Happy and a new very cute and cuddly beagle, Hailey Mary as well as Mr. and Mrs. M who love me a lot......and Mrs. M is one of those sales type people like Mr. Hill so she is home a lot too.....I lay on her keyboard to keep her company while she works.....and I purr loudly while she is on the phone so her customers can hear me too. I can hardly wait to read your next adventure with the Jones and Hills!"
